St. Louis Star Inn
Introducing the St Louis Star Inn opening June 1, 2010. A quilter's dream retreat center. Bring your group of 4 to 6 (may increase in the future) to quilt for a day, weekend or a week. You can come to work on your own project or take a workshop from Toby Lischko, a renowned quilt designer/teacher and award winning quilter. Or, you could even bring in your own teacher (you are responsible for her fees).
Located at 212 Fox Meadow Lane in Beaufort, Missouri, which is about 55 miles west of St. Louis off I-44. Wonderfully secluded, surrounded by woods, with a 1500 square foot studio to quilt to your heart's desire! In the studio is also a small shop that carries many quilting tools, fabric, thread, patterns, or quilt kits you may need for your workshop. Sewing machines will be supplied or you can bring your own. You can also make an appointment to come shop, if someone is available to help you, by calling 314-913-1197.
The spacious home has two large bedrooms upstairs that can hold 2 to 3 people each (two twin and one double bed each). If you need more privacy, the master bedroom on the first level can accommodate one to two people for an extra fee. Each bed has a quilt designed and made by Toby with lots of quilts hanging and throughout the rooms. There is a wonderful bright breakfast room overlooking the woods and a double deck on the back of the house for outside dining when the weather permits. Toby and her husband Mike will be at your beck and call to make sure your stay is a memorable one!
All meals are home cooked and included in the retreat fees. Leave the cooking and cleaning to us so all you have to do is quilt and enjoy yourself. You don't even have to make your bed if you don't want to! All linens supplied. You can bring your own toiletries (shampoo and soap) or use ours.
If you are interested in booking a date, you will need to get your own group together and fill out our reservation form, along with a choice of dinner meals from our menu and workshop(s) if desired.
